About me
Quirky Creations is my fused glass studio.
My Mission
Teacher and Artist
I began my company because of my passion for fused glass and my commitment to create a unique product that displays quality of craftsmanship and design with a touch of whimsy.
My journey in art began as a graphic designer. I received a BFA in graphic design at the University of Utah. I pursued that career for 10 years before I decided to get my teaching credential (Sacramento State). I taught for 30 years in the San Juan Unified School District, primarily at Casa Roble High School.
It was while I was teaching a mixed media class at Casa Roble that I decided to explore fused glass. I was immediately mesmerized by the possibilities of fusing glass. I find the medium is an excellent way to convey my whimsy as well as my design skills.
I have participated in numerous juried shows including the KVIE Art Auction (four times), The Crocker Art Festival (15 years), Sacramento Arts Festival (3 years) and Fort Mason Women’s Fair. I have also had the pleasure to create commissions for individuals and corporations across the country.
